May 14th

This week has been just crazy. The ups and downs are so taxing on us all. Today Jett looked really good...his coloring looks much better and he is eating much more vigorously. I hope this means he is getting better. It sounds like they will not re-test him for RSV for about a week so until then he is on isolation precautions. We have to gown and glove just to see our little baby. He is not too little though, last night he weighed 10 lbs 4oz. He actually has lost weight the past day or two. He was up to 10lbs 6 oz.

He has another contrast study on his intestines tomorrow. They are looking to see how much small intestines they can see from another view. We are hoping for lots!!!

We could all use a good night sleep...please pray for good, restful sleep tonight!

  1. Praying for you! Liz and PJ, I mean this from the bottom of my heart - you are both amazing and an inspiration! You are both such great parents! Jace and Jett are so blessed to have you as parents.... God knew just what He was doing when he gave each of these boys to you!

  2. Liz - Good news that Jett is getting better. We think of you, PJ & Jett, and also Jace, quite often and how difficult it must be. Find strength in the Lord and comfort in knowing that you have the support of a great family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you.

  3. Tried to send a note earlier. Don't think it went through. In case it did, sorry for the duplication. Soooo glad to know Jett is doing a bit better. Know this must be an emotional roller coaster. Would encourage you to try as best you can to just focus on TODAY. To take 1 day at a time. I know this helped me as I was caring for Grandma. Also to remember to change the things you can, and to pray and entrust the rest to the Lord. I found Philippians 4:6-9 essential to keep in mind. You might want to stick it up on some post-its to remind you.
    Phil 4:6-9 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you."
