Uncle Eric and Aunt Merry finally got to see Jett. We met with the GI doctor today and he confirmed that there is more small intestine than they thought. They also found a blockage between his small and large intestine so they are going to start him on mucamyst, to hopefully loosen it. The doctor also said they will start feeding the undigested food from his ostomy to his mucus fistula within a week. They tested for RSV again and he is still testing positive. However he looks like he is feeling much better and his breathing has also gotten better.

So glad there is good news. I'll be praying the feedings get started through the rest of his system very soon and they are a great success. Enjoy the visit with Eric, Merry and cute little Kaleigh.

ReplyDeleteIt has been a few days since I checked the blog, and WOW. Hopefully you will get called about everything from here on out. Sounds like things are looking up and you will take that baby home soon! We have a beautiful girl here in our community named Tara that hopefully will be contacting you, she has CF and is true trooper and I think talking to her will make you feel better. I actually ran into her at McDonalds and gave her the blog site.
Eric hasn't changed much, he looks good, you all do I love getting to see the pictures!
We have had a busy week too my Mom fell down and broke her femur......ughhhh
Anyway, I have Jett on the prayer list here at school and keep them updated.

These are such great photos and my new favorite is the most recent one of you and Jett. 8 weeks has sure flown by but probably not for your family and I know the trips up to the hospital while balancing everything else is tough! We are leaving today for a few days to spend time at the beach but I hope you have a good Memorial Day weekend.
